How to: Disable automatic CD-ROM running and audio CD playing.
Solution:
Double-click the 'System' icon in 'Control Panel'. Click the 'Device Manager' tab. Clear the 'Auto insert notification' check box.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'System' icon. (The 'System Properties' dialog box appears.)
4) Click the 'Device Manager' tab.
5) Double-click 'CDROM' in the 'View devices by type' list box. (The branch expands and all devices display.)
6) Select the appropriate CD-ROM driver.
7) Click 'Properties'. (The CD-ROM properties dialog box appears.)
8) Click the 'Settings' tab.
9) Clear the 'Auto insert notification' check box.
10) Click 'OK'.
11) Click 'OK' to close the 'System Properties' dialog box.
